Oval agate brooch made from a semi transparent slice of stone

The brooch is bold it is an old piece probably Scottish in origin

The frame of the pin is gold tone or gold plated metal it has a little design in the edge it is a very simple frame for the lovely stone

This is a late Edwardian pebble brooch and it this looks as if it is from the 1900-1920's

Natural stone jewelry from Scotland was popularized by Queen Victoria and it remains popular today

Base metal is gold toned or plated there are marks from wear and repair on the back side

Old fashioned c-clasp closure holds the pin in place it is in good condition the clasp

this is an old antique piece of jewelry there are marks from use but no more than would be expected in a 100 year old pin

please look at the photos the bezel is worn away in places
